Junior Frontend Developer Intern

TouchGuides makes digital guidebooks for vacation rentals, and the guest view is the screen every guest opens on their phone. As our frontend intern you work beside the founder on real screens that ship, with review on every pull request and your name on the changelog. This is a part-time internship of roughly 20 hours a week, with hours that flex around a class schedule.

Responsibilities

• Build and polish React components in a Next.js and Tailwind codebase
• Make the guest view read well on phones, from the WiFi card to the map
• Fix bugs hosts report and add the test that keeps them fixed
• Take code review, ship the follow-up, and ask questions early

Requirements

• Working knowledge of React and TypeScript from coursework, side projects, or an earlier internship
• Able to read an existing component and follow the patterns already in the codebase
• An eye for detail: spacing, focus states, and how a page behaves on a small screen
• Around 20 hours a week, with a few of them overlapping US Eastern time
